The creator of Basement Beast, Fabian Petrina, is very active on the page and addresses member questions directly. A lot of interaction going on between members. The facebook group associated with the program is also a plus. Much more so than a typical workout at a gym. Every workout so far has left my muscles on fire and me gasping for breath. The workouts are short so it’s easy to motivate yourself to stick to the schedule and always power through a session. I’m just beginning the program and I love it already. Looking forward to continuing with more programs! As a non-dude I’m not allowed in the Facebook group but my dude really enjoys that interaction and support. It also helps that Fabian knows what he is talking about, takes a scientific approach to training, and is frankly hilarious. It’s funny because I find running to be drudgery sometimes, but I always seem to look forward to Basement Beast workouts. You’re working for time, not reps, so you can go at your pace and also just choose whatever resistance band is hard for you. These workouts are super short and super effective. In conjunction with changing my nutrition, I’ve lost 15 pounds and made huge strength gains (can actually do a push-up now). I am an endurance athlete/runner but have never made much time for strength training specifically. So, I’m not a dude but the dude in my life signed up for this program and I started doing it with him.
